What we’re about

Building Bridges through Music

Celtic Pilgrims CIC is a nonprofit that connects people through music, the arts, and spirituality – bringing people from diverse backgrounds together across community divides around a common interest of Celtic music, culture, heritage and spiritual practices. Through intentionally cross-community events, concerts, retreats, and pilgrimages we will join together in song, listen to beautiful music that moves and inspires, and learn from one another.

Celtic Psalms (Kiran Young Wimberly & The McGraths) have performed, recorded and made music together for the past decade, and together they have formed Celtic Pilgrims, a nonprofit that will bring that music—and other music in the same genre blending sacred and traditional styles—into communities with the purpose of connecting across divides, forging relationships, finding common ground, and promoting social healing and wellbeing.

We look forward to collaborating with others as we build bridges through music. We’re excited about what we will create together, the music we will share, and the journeys we will walk alongside others in the coming decades.

ABOUT US

Celtic Pilgrims was formed by members of Celtic Psalms (Kiran Young Wimberly & The McGraths)

Since 2013 Celtic Psalms has arranged Biblical Psalms to Irish and Scottish airs, along with the renowned traditional musician and producer Dónal O’Connor. In the last decade they have recorded four albums, traveled to the US on four tours, performed live on BBC and RTE national television and radio multiple times, shared their music at international conferences, sung in many intimate concerts in sacred and secular venues in Northern Ireland and the Republic, and were published by the global sacred music publisher GIA.
